Dan’s corner

This weekend started out a little more solid than most, after a few weeks meeting with Cliff, Gabe, Mervin, Tony Lisa, and a few phone calls to Chris, we all had an idea of what was SUPPOSED to happen for our drills. The first meeting was as usual…me busting their balls/ovaries and them nodding their heads like pro drivers, Uh-huh! First guy to spin out in session 1, you guessed it… a brand new fordGT. This guy became our example for the day, with everyone calling out his fire breathing machine for whatever it was he had done throughout the sessions. It helps that his driving and car helped him place super fast lap times and work his way through the group enough to cover everyone well more than just once throughout the day! Awesome car, very cool and awesome driver! Anyways the drill explanations went down with much repetition and I gave a few random drivers the courtesy of explaining it to the rest of the class. Saturday was an impressive, Sunday was scary. When I say scary I mean….. These are my 2 guys/girls? Who is driving 3 because they nailed it with such skill that I couldn’t believe they weren’t the advanced group! anyone who has driven with me is probably shocked, if not confused because I take pride and pleasure in pointing out the problems in the groups, never have I hardly complimented anyone person, or large group on the outstanding job they did! to all that came out, thank you so much, hardly do I ever get to drive with such an intelligent and fast learning group….even with my weak instruction!
