Seat-Time wrap up from Chris Yano

Â
Hello fellow racers and car enthusiasts,
Â
Thank you to all who came out to play this past Saturday at Firebird Raceway East Track. An extra special thanks is in order to the following people and/or organizations that helped make AZ Seat-Time happen: Jason/Ralph/Marty with CRA/NASA, Spencer Sharp/Blade Productions, all the corner workers, grid, race control, Sherry (DJ/Announcer) and the highly popular registration girls.Â
Â
We had a successful first event with a total of 37 participants. Taking on the heat was a nice array of cars from a SPEED GT Viper and ASC Stock Car to Subaru’s and RX-7’s. This made for fun run groups for all. I think it’s safe to say that each run group received 30-45 minutes in access to the scheduled track time. How often does that actually happen? I will continue to do that if time allows.
Â
On another note, we successfully passed five of the six new drivers on to drive solo moving forward. Congrats to those who were signed off by your instructor. We look forward to seeing you at the next event. Also, congrats to the RX-7 and the Evo who won the “coolest car” contest judged by the registration girls. I hope you enjoy your free track day.
Â
The event ran very smooth and laid back with NO incidents or accidents. There were only a couple spins and that was it. This is exactly what AZ Seat-Time was trying to persue. We would like any feedback on the event, positive or negative, that you believe would make the event better. Please email Chris at azseattime@gmail.com. We appreciate all of the feedback we have recieved thus far.
Â
In closing, AZ Seat-Time feels that the first event was successfull and has decided to put on another open track day in the future. The date has not yet been locked down, however, as soon as it is I will send out a follow up email with the information.Â
Â
AZ Seat-Time would appreciate it if you would continue to spread the word and keep the track days growing so we
can continue to keep the costs down in the future. Be sure to visit the website for updated information. Remember that we offer Private Instructing from top notch instructors. See instuctors on the “Home” page. Â
