P1 Musselman’s Honda Karting Circuit

The day started off a little sketchy when we showed up in hurricane like conditions. It was very odd, the entire state had blue sunny skies, but as we approached P1, there seemed to be a cloud looming overhead. The very minute we pulled into the park, the rain started coming down. Razzle Dazzle and Chris were less than optimistic the rain would lift, but I had faith. Charlie, the park owner, tried to encourage us by putting on his bike gear and taking the Super Motard out, he appeared to have fun on the track under less than perfect conditions. The next thing we knew, we heard a shifter and a TaG fire up and Russell and Chance got on track. That sealed the deal, we signed in and got on track.
We had a great time on the near perfect P1 course, it reminded us what a real track is like. Hopefully, PKRA will be more like this after they resurface the track. I was glad I bought the yearly membership, I think the drive is worth it! I will be making the trip more often until they finish things up at PKRA.
The day and night was riddled with carnage, both in the kart and the Super Motard classes, put a bunch of men and kids in helmets and things get dicey quick. Unfortunately, one of the motard riders ended his night in the meat wagon (ambulance), I pray for a quick recovery for him and hope to see him at the track soon.
After the event, Chris Fosso is arranging a “teaching” session of Mxing and motard for Razzle Dazzle and I, so who knows, maybe the next time we are there we will be running both classes. Maybe I should watch the Super Motard video again…. What did you say Curtis?
