NBoundZ is 3 years old and looking towards 2010
It has been a blessing from Jesus that we are celebratig our third year this month as a motorsport and Christian ministry. When I felt led by Christ to form a Christian ministry motorsport team, I had no idea how this would become such a step in faith. The prayer and effort put into the team has always been met with God’s faithfulness, but not in the ways I originally imagined.
I originally thought NBoundZ would be able to attract sponsorship to keep the #350 Nissan 350Z car on the track, but instead, God blessed me with a great paying sales position and I was able to keep racing for almost a full year without finacial help. Due to the financial stress of racing the car, I eventually went to karting and sold the car. This was a blessing in disguise, I really thought I would miss the rush of driving a race car, but I completely fell in love with karting and quickly realized karting was more like driving a true race car than a converted street car. Once I was committed to racing a kart, the Phoenix Kart Racing Association was great to work with, we expanded our photography ministry to a unique video ministry with the use of the GoPro Motorsports Hero camera. NBoundZ was not only accepted as competitor, but a contributor of the club with our photography and video ministry. We also held prayer meetings before races and was able to pour Christ’s love into this wonderful community. Overalll, we had a great couple of seasons at PKRA, I have made so many great friends. Then once again financial circumstances of the economy and being with an uncertain start up company slowed my involvement within the motorsports community, which led my ministry efforts back to the bicycle as I started to ride more to get in shape for the kart and specifically for Super Nationals in Las Vegas, NV. During my finaicial trial, I started to drive at P1 in Tucson, AZ with the SDKA due to the dynamic of the track and the enthusiasm of a new club. We hope to eventually institute all of our current ministries within the SDKA and hope to expand with God’s direction. The most recent pinnacle of this uncertain economy was being downsized in September, this was another turning point in prayer and direction for NBoundZ. I have to say, my faith in Jesus has not been effected at all, He has always been faithful and I expect to learn more about His faithfulness through this time in my life. In this last month it has become less about motorsports and more about my daily walk with God and looking for God’s true will for me in life. I have been here at this exact point many times in my life and I know as long as I truly search God’s will out and ask for His guidance, He grants that to me. So for right now, Super Nationals is no longer in our plans and I only have one more race in November planned. I promised my wife I wouldn’t race without me having a source of income, my severance ends November 30th, so the racing will stop at that point.
So what does 2010 look like for NBoundZ Motorsports and Christian Ministries? The same – God will always be faithful and I will continue to look for His will in my life. Different – currently we don’t have any finances to go forward as a “competitor”. The great thing about the ministry is that I don’t have to spend tons of money to affect the racing the community and I don’t have to be a competitor to serve the community. NBoundZ mission for 2010 is to follow God’s direction and ask for his blessing and riches, so let’s see what that will bring. I plan on being at as many events as possible, splitting my time with all the racing organizations in the Arizona area in auto and kart racing. I am also looking to increase the PR efforts of NBoundZ Motorsports and Christian Ministries by highlighting drivers and athletes that are being “bold” in their faith while competing, I know God can use these wonderful competitors to share His good news of salvation in a community that needs Jesus.
